Cimientos Firmes
Operational clarity for organizations just laying their foundation
Most of the organizations I work with have reached a point where they can engage a specialist. But operational clarity isn't something organizations should have to wait for.
Every nonprofit benefits from reliable systems, documented processes, and trustworthy donor data, whether they're raising $50K or $5M a year. This program isn't separate from the work I do with paying clients. It's built on the same belief that reliable systems create calmer, more confident organizations.
Cimientos Firmes is how I put this belief into practice.
What it is
I partner with an early-stage nonprofit at no charge. Over three months, we build a donor data system the organization can run on its own after our work together ends:
A CRM configured thoughtfully from the beginning
Clear conventions and best practices the team can follow confidently
Documented workflows that survive staff transitions
Training that helps the organization maintain the system independently
The goal isn't to hand over a finished product and disappear. The goal is to leave an organization with sustainable systems they can grow into, and the understanding to keep them healthy over time.
Because this work is hands-on and intentionally comprehensive, the program is limited to a single organization each year.
Why the name
Cimientos Firmes comes from a book my mom gave me years ago, Edifiquemos sobre Cimientos Firmes ("let us build upon a firm foundation"). The idea behind it is that what we build lasts longer and grows stronger when the foundation is solid.
That's exactly what this program is designed to provide
Who it's for
Cimientos Firmes is intended for early-stage and emerging nonprofits that are ready to build sustainable donor systems but don't yet have the budget for ongoing database stewardship.
The strongest applicants are organizations that value operational clarity, are willing to learn, and have the capacity to maintain what we build together after the engagement ends.
